about ME

I am from Denton, Texas and my interest in pottery began when I was studying graphic design at Oklahoma Baptist University. I fell in love with the process of working with my hands and the creative outlet that I found in making pots. I graduated from OBU in May 2013 and went on to work as a graphic designer in Texas while making pottery in my free time. My interest in pottery continued to grow and I decided that I wanted to devote more time into becoming a ceramic artist.

February 2017 I moved to Moretonhampstead to do a 6 month pottery apprenticeship with Penny Simpson. During the apprenticeship I learned throwing and handbuilding skills and began to develop my own range of functional pieces. My time in England shaped my view and approach to pottery as I was surrounded by talented and inspiring artists.
